 original key;  she was most likely not aware that she was singing the
 original key, but simply transposed it up because she found the tessitura
 was easier for her voice.  Of course, SHE included all the traditional
 high notes.

 There is also a recording of Mady Mesple singing it in what on the LP they
call the French version, the key of Lily Pons, in French, again, with all the
traditional high notes.
