Hi list,

A small correction: Gary Lakes *was* scheduled for Tristan. But he's been
replaced by Louis Gentile.

BTW, with all the talk about the MET Lohengrin... There are also other
ways to stage this opera. Has anybody seen the Hamburg LOHENGRIN ?
Yesterday I bought the March issue of Opera International which has a
review of this production (on p.29). The picture is hilarious. The
production is set in a class room. Everybody is dressed as school
children, including Thomas Moser as Lohengrin, standing on a desk in short
trousers... So far for a traditional German staging...
