Marcel Cordes (a stalwart at Bayreuth in the 60's)

Featured in Bartered Bride recording with Kempe (EMI) - and, I think, one or
both of the two Orff operas under Sawallisch (EMI) - Der Mond & Die Kluge.

Ileana Cotrubas

Hasten to assure everyone that Cotrubas is alive and well and was on BBC
Radio 3 every morning last week talking about her career.

Nadine Secunde (brilliant and young-where is she-what has she recorded)

Featured in DGG recording of The Fiery Angel. Seen again recently on TV in
a Munich originated Tannhauser (semi "chain-saw" production) but some years
old (with Rootering, Kollo/Mehta).

Kerstin Meyer (still the ultimate Geschwitz)
And a Carmen !! (Stockholm 1960 - she could exhale a cigarette nearly 10
feet !)

Gennady Rozhdestvensky
Still making records, frequently with CHANDOS.

John Deacon
