There was a review by William Youngren of Kenneth Lane's "Wagnerian
Heldentenor: Wagner's Epic Heroes" (Valhalla VRCD-1595) in the March/April
1997 edition of "Fanfare". It's at:

http://www.musicblvd.com/cgi-bin/tw/1814317889941677_105_214526

For some curious reason there is another review of the recording by James
Miller in the very same issue. It's at:

http://www.musicblvd.com/cgi-bin/tw/1814317889941677_105_214527

Even curiouser, as Alice would say, it the unavailability of the CD from the
sole distributor, H&B Direct. Their relevant page can be visited at:

http://www.hbdirect.com/0398/104/d118075.htm

But what's the point? The disc is out of stock, and has been for ages, since
not long after it was issued.

Both the reviewers seem to regard Kenneth Lane as a gifted singer. Pity we
can't hear him.
