I will have to get hold of the Biancolli book. It sounds like a great read.
Of course the major work it to strengthen the muscles of back and ribs to create a solid container for the breath and study the whole vocal apparatus.
The other aspect would be the attack. It must be as gentle and precise as possible, to keep the voice healthy.
Flagstad attacked gently every time and instantly swelled with the breath already engaged.
I could go on but most of you are probably not engaged by technique.
