On this question more generally, listening to Sirius I am continually struck
by how good Fausto Cleva was.  During his career people tended to think of
him as a routinier, but he really knew how the Italian repertoire was
supposed to go, unlike whoever it is who is currently conducting that sad
'Trovatore' at the Met.
