A recording recommendation - Berlioz - La Damnation de Faust
with Poleri, Suzanne Danco (a very underappreciated singer),
Martial Singher and Donald Gramm with the BSO conducted by
Charles Munch. It is a wonderful memento of all the principals,
especially Danco, Poleri and Munch, oh yeah, and of Berlioz.

A bonus - on the set I own, a Victor Gold Seal release, it is paired
with Debussy's La Damoiselle Elue with the incomparable
Victoria de los Angeles.

They were recorded in 1954 and 55, respectively.
