Lauren Flanigan and Stars from the world of opera
in a concert to benefit New York's Homeless
Friday Evening, December 22nd 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
St. Paul and St. Andrew United Methodist Church
263 West 86th Street and West End Avenue NYC 10024

NEW YORK - For the twenty third consecutive year soprano Lauren Flanigan and conductor Kamal Khan will present Comfort Ye... a holiday concert to benefit New York's homeless on Friday evening, December 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the large sanctuary at St. Paul and St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Comfort Ye... is presented under the auspices of Music and Mentoring House Inc, a New York State not-for-profit established by Lauren Flanigan to foster and guide the careers of young artists.

Admission to the concert is:
- a shopping bag full of non-perishable food items OR
- three packages of baby diapers OR
- an unwrapped brand new toy suitable for children under the age of ten OR
- a clean used winter coat or warm blanket OR
- $40

Past artists who have appeared in Comfort Ye... have included Eric Owens, Pretty Yende, Nadine Sierra, Jennifer Rowley, Mark Delavan, Angela Meade, Michael Chioldi, Raul Melo, Quinn Kelsey, Harolyn Blackwell, Fabio Armiliato, Veronica Villarroel, Laquita Mitchell, Andrea Gruber, Dwayne Croft, Anthony Laciura, Olga Makarina, William Bolcom and Joan Morris, Amy Burton and John Musto, and Miss Flanigan.

The first Comfort Ye... concert began in 1995 in an effort to create a high quality musical event with activism as the focus of the concert and provide immediate resources to three vital Upper West Side charities. Beginning last year Ms. Flanigan began working more closely with the needs of the West Side Campaign Against Hunger. This event specifically helps to raise awareness and funds to support the work of this essential upper west side organization. All donations remain in-house and are given out immediately by the West-Side Campaign Against Hunger located inside St. Paul and St. Andrew. The audience is invited to attend a reception in the West Side Campaign Against Hunger's cafeteria located below the sanctuary and tour the facility.

In years past, Comfort Ye... was able to provide dry goods to the West Side Campaign Against Hunger during the holiday season allowing it to remain open and continue to serve the community rather than shut it's doors.
