About the Opera

When the men of a medieval French court go off to war, the licentious Count
Ory and his followers take the opportunity to impregnate the castle by
dressing up as nuns: high jinx ensue in this riotous comedy by Rossini.

Featuring virtuosic solos, vocal fireworks, and dazzling ensembles, the
opera also includes some of Rossini's most colorful orchestral writing.

We look forward to presenting this charming and hilarious work April 11-15,
2018 in the beautiful Agassiz Theatre in Radcliffe Yard.
