The word abusive suggests violence or, at least physical force.
Is an 18 year old expected to suffer gladly an experience that would
have been unlawful the day before that particular birthday?   Abuse
is very much in need of being defined.  There is no use denying the
fact that "age of consent" is arbitrary, variable, and disconnected
with reality.  It is never OK, at any age, to force one's self on another,
regardless of gender, of preference, of power, of celebrity, even of
marital status.

One of the wildest assertions to have been made, is that James Levine
exhibits behavior similar to that of Richard Wagner.  The only thing
those two have in common is the right to be considered innocent until
proven guilty .  The composer, approve of his ethical standards or not,
was never accused of sexual misbehavior, and eloquently justified, without
shame, the ways in which his amorous preferences were reflected in his
works..
