Alfred Piccaver was a member of the Conried Young Artists Program at the Met in 1907. He was on-stage with members of the School in a gala performance of Gypsy Baron and was in a concert with the group where he sang three solo selections on the Met stage. Another member of the group was David Bjorling, father of Jussi. Bob Tuggle noted in the database remarks of the Gypsy Baron that Caruso, Piccaver, and Bjorling’s father were on the stage in the same performance. This trivia can be accessed on the Met Archives database by entering Alfred Piccaver in keyword.
