In every  generation there are about 5 singers in each type of voice who reach superstardom and
about 20 with  international  status i.e.  singing sporadically at any of the top opera houses:
The Met, La Scala, Covent Garden, Vienna, San Francisco, Paris. The Colon in Buenos Aires used to be one of them
but it lost its status at after 1955 when the Argentine economy collapsed and never fully recovered.
Can anybody identify the superstars of today?
