Forsooth Opera Lovers!

Today we can celebrate the birthday of Robert Planquette (1848-1903).

Also, Offenbach's "La Princesse de Trebizonde" premiered on this date in
1869.

Let us remember Franz Liszt (1811-1886) who joined Heaven's Choir on
this date.

The quote for today is: "It is impossible to imagine a more complete
fusion with nature than that of the Gypsy."
Franz Liszt.

VINTAGE ICON RADIO SHOWS: On this date in 1930 Walter Gibson's THE
SHADOW" made its long running debut. Also, on this date in 1933 the
vintage icon radio show JACK ARMSTRONG starring Charles Lynn made its
illustrious debut.
