Subject: American Opera Audiences Up?

The National Endowment for the Arts has just published a study which indicates
that opera audience spending is up, more than doubling from 2000 to 2014. They
do not take into account an important factor like the increase in ticket prices but
the total rise in spending certainly cannot be explained by just the price rise.

(And the Aix-en-Provence Don Giovanni is live tonight (starts at 9:30p - after sun
goes mostly down, well after the Tannhauser is over) on Medici and Culturebox.)
