Subject: leonard bernstein educational tv program question

Back in the 50s or 60s Leonard Bernstein gave some lectures on television
(CBS, I believe). In one of them he used the Act II quartet from La Boheme
to demonstrate how spoken cacophony could by transformed into beautiful
music. To begin, he had four actors speak the lines in the same way they
were sung which resulted in unintelligible gibberish. He then led four
singers in Puccini’s music.

Does anyone know if this demonstration exists on Youtube and, if so, how it
can be accessed?

Thanx,

Kurt Youngmann
