I would second you on that, even though his breathing is rather audible and labored (maybe 
due to the pleurisy which was shortly going to interrupt his career?).  But the dramatic 
intensity and baritonal splendor of the sound are magnificent.  Another great recording is 
"Magiche note" ("Magische tone") from "Die Konigin von Saba."  And lets not forget the 
"Otello" duet with Ruffo, one of the greatest vocal recordings ever made.  

So many to choose from...
