One point that doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet in this round is
that the gold curtain doesn't open fully behind the proscenium. It's there
at the edges of the scene throughout the show, saying "you are sitting in
an opera house." This, in addition to design considerations, is probably
what leads directors not to use it.
