Interesting. During the performance broadcast on Sirius last week on April 7th, Kocan got to 
the last phrase, took a bit of (reasonable, not "milked") time with the first low Gb, and got a 
short smattering of applause before continuing to the actual final cadence. It sounded more 
like the reaction of a few people who clearly didn't know the aria and thought it was over 
before it was - but interesting nonetheless when paired with your story below.
