Forsooth Opera Lovers!

Today we can celebrate the birthdays of Giovanni Rubini (1794-1854) and
Ribert Casadesus (1899-1972).

Also, Bellini's "Bianco e Fernando" and Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis"
premiered on this date in 1828 and 1824, respectively.

The quote for today is: "Don't only practice your art, but force your
way into its secrets; art deserves that, for it and knowledge can raise
man to the Divine." Ludwig van Beethoven.
