Tonight Carnegie Hall presented a free recital at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church on the upper west side. It featured Hyesang Park who is in the Met’s Lindemann program and graduated recently from Juilliard. She is also a student of Marilyn Horne, who was in the audience. Ken Norda accompanied her on the piano. Ms. Park has a beautiful voice and I believe has a great future. There were subtitles behind her — which I found out on this forum is due to Marilyn Horne insisting that all her students’ recitals have subtitles.
