Anyone can see the entire performance starting on the 28th at:

Monday, it was a real pleasure to see a "first performance" of a real masterpiece.
Offenbach's "Fantasio" was finally staged as the season opening production at the
Opera Comique (but, because the refurbishment of the Comique is not yet
finished, it was housed at the Theatre de Chatelet).

Here is Offenbach beginning to push the "Comique" superficiality with a plot which
clearly is having trouble with the formula and trending to the dramatic. It was
three years before "Carmen" (which destroyed that superficiality). It is a grandly
enjoyable and lyrically rich evening! You can find it now on CultureBox. There are
a big number of operas to occupy your time on this site.
