The simple purchase of an inexpensive cable will connect an computer (and the internet) to a TV set. I believe the cable is called HDML. I purchased mine several year ago and never had any problems with reception or enjoyment. Michael L. Blauner, [log in to unmask]

I don't see how the internet can be regarded as an alternative to
TV unless you are able to feed internet streaming onto your home
screen, with all the disruption, unpredictability, and expense that
entails.  Moreover, who has access to a TV channel that carries
a complete array of PBS programming without spreading frequent
and prolonged fund-raising campaigns across their schedule?  -
curse I regard as more of a turn-off than ordinary commercial breaks.
Anyway you look at it, free entertainment is as likely as free lunch,
but.
if the regulatory powers of the FCC had not been diminished years ago,
we could be enjoying TV  (and radio), with a more reasonable
percentage
of advertising in relation to content.
