Subject: Seattle Opera 'La Traviata'

Has anyone seen Seattle Opera's current production of 'La Traviata'?

This production, originally staged by Peter Konwitschny, is apparently only 1 hour and 50 minutes long; no intermission; not much in the way of sets; features Germont bringing his teenage daughter onstage and abusing her; and so on – it sounds horrid and I am scheduled to attend this Saturday and the following Friday.

Surely someone has something good to say about this production to buck an old Verdi fan up?
