The trombones in the first movement of the Mahler 3rd remind me very strongly of the first baritone solo in the Brahms Requiem.

Then there’s the really obvious one of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Music of the Night” taking a section straight out of the Minnie/Dick Johnson scene in the first act of “Fanciulla.”
