A big shock...I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Chicago Bolena and
he was a walking encyclopedia of our art form.  His commentaries on the
Sirius broadcasts were invaluable - on their way to picking up where the
wonderful Paul Jackson books on the MET broadcasts left off.

I'm headed into my mid 60s and within the last few months attended 2
funerals of friends close to my age...these events coming in close
proximity leaves you feeling somewhat fragile...does anyone know the cause
of Bob's passing?
