I'm sitting in William Tell at the first intermission. Some questions: what were the upside down cow and sheep doing there when the curtain went up? Why are some women in the chorus wearing coolie hats? Was that usual dress in thirteenth century Switzerland? Williams son Jemmy is a pants role. Why does he look so much like a girl with his hair and short skirt? I'd like to know.
