Forsooth Opera Lovers!

Today we can celebrate the birthdays of Albert Lortzing (1801-1851) and
Lotte Schadle (1926).

Also, Rameau's "Anacreon" premiered on this date in 1754.

Let us remember the following artists who joined Heaven's Choir on this
date:

Marian Telva (1897-1962)
Robert Merrill (1917-2004)
Viorica Ursuleac (1894-1985)

VINTAGE CLASSIC CARTOON CHARACTER DEBUTS: On this date in 1941 Walt
Disney produced his classic movie character DUMBO.

The quote for today is: “If you can dream it, you can do it. Always
remember that this whole thing was started by a mouse."

He built Disneyland off of a cartoon mouse. It really is true that if
you can dream it, you can do it because there are those that have proven
it time and time again. They are the ones that have built entire empires
off of one simple idea. It starts with that one idea, and then you scale
it up and up until you have everything you’ve ever wanted. The best
place to start is where you are now with what you have now. Walt
Disney.

As always, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our birthday artists for today and
all forum members who share their birthday with them.

ARTISTS' EVENTS salutes these artists for their enduring contributions
