You can add Alda Noni and both Di Stefano and Del Monaco to the list borh 
sang in German on stage and both were capable of having a conversation in 
German.

If Victoria de los Angeles has not been mentioned, she
certainly should be, including "Tannhauser" in Bayreuth
and a legacy of German Lieder, both on record and on
stage, matched by very few.
