Ways to experience Opening NIght

At the Opera House
The Met’s 50th anniversary season at Lincoln Center opens Monday, September
26 with Mariusz Treliński’s new production of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde,
conducted by Sir Simon Rattle and starring Nina Stemme as Isolde, Stuart
Skelton as Tristan, Ekaterina Gubanova as Brangäne, and René Pape as King

Our popular Rush Ticket program includes the Opening Night Gala, with one
hundred orchestra tickets available at the drastically reduced price of $25.

In Times Square
Continuing the Met’s annual tradition, Opening Night will be transmitted
live and for free to giant screens in Times Square. The opera will begin at
5:00 p.m. Attendance is free and no tickets are required. Seats will be
available on a first-come first-served basis at Duffy Square (between 46th
and 47th Streets), with additional standing room available.

On the Air
An audio stream of the Opening Night Gala will be broadcast live on
Metropolitan Opera Radio on SiriusXM and streamed live on the Met’s website.

Follow @MetOpera for the behind-the-scenes action on Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, and Snapchat as we approach Opening Night—and on the big day.
