Hello fellow listers

I am just reminding those who may need to be reminded that the
magnificent Simon Keenlyside is singing a recital tomorrow, 27 Oct at
8pm at Herbst Theater in San Francisco, as part of the San Francisco
Performances Vocal Series. Here's a blurb in case you don't know this
premier singer and recitalist:

"Known for the rich tone of his voice -- not to mention his movie-star
looks -- award-winning British baritone Simon Keenlyside has taken the
title role in many a major opera, including Billy Budd, Don Giovanni,
Hamlet, Macbeth, Eugene Onegin, The Barber of Seville and more. But
his lyrical gifts are truly showcased in recital, where he'll team
with pianist Malcolm Martineau to perform a selection of songs by some
of the world's greatest classical composers, including Mahler,
Strauss, Debussy, Duparc and Butterworth."

It's a rare chance to hear him in SF, as he hasn't been here in a few
years. See you there!

BTW, I have no financial interest or otherwise in the organization. I
just hate for anyone to miss hearing this special singer.
