Good grief no, Bill, they don't make up most of the annual ticket purchases
at the MET thank GOD! Opening night audiences are made up of wannabes. They
struggle to purchase the ticket so they can be seen. It's cheaper than a
full subscription, most of the them are living in projects and have no money
for the subway fare back home that night, believe me. The sooner these
losers are out of the picture, the sooner the MET will become a financially
and artistically successful opera house. Gelb doesn't need this rift-raft
trash, all the reptiles can do is boo anything on stage that doesn't come
with chandeliers, red velvet and long stairways. Utter scum.
