Tauber and Schmidt, as much as we love them and as subjective as comparison might be, are certainly one thing, but as Richard Kummins and Donald Kane point out, Volker, Wittrich, Rosvaenge, and Schock--and particularly Franz Volker--are in another league altogether for reasons they have given.
 
It is good to see Rudolf Schock mentioned here. There seems not to be a youtube of Volker singing 'Dein ist mein ganzes Herz', but there is one of Schock (Mr. Kane take note) here:
