Subject: Re: The Line for Free Tosca Open Rehearsal Tickets at the MET

text/plain (24 lines)

Today's ever-accurate Bergen (NJ) Record has a picture of Mattila on the first page of the Better Living section and an announcement that "The Met is giving away 3,000 tickets to the last dress rehearsal of Tosca."

Inside is a bigger photo and longer announcement, stating that there "will" be 3,000 free tickets available at the box office Thursday.

I shot off an email
pointing to the announcement on the Met web site that the giveaway was yesterday and suggesting a correction be made.

It's pathetic that this newspaper hardly ever reports on opera, and when they do, they get it wrong.
