"The conducting of someone named Fish"...

Asher Fisch is Israeli born and is Music Director of the New Israeli Opera
and the Vienna Volksoper. He is a regular visitor to many of the leading
houses - Vienna, Munich, ROH, Seattle, LA, Chicago, Bastille et al.

His special interest in Wagner is evident - Meistersinger, Parsifal,
Hollander, Lohengrin, Tristan, and having studied the Ring with Barenboim in
Berlin and Bayreuth, he conducted his first Ring in the bold antipodean
Adelaide 2004 Ring. It was a great success.

He is an accomplished pianist and presented to the locals down under as a
warm and generous man of enormous talent and drive with a strong wish to
bring Wagner to the music lovers of Israel.

He's not someone called Fish, he's Asher Fisch.
