In a sense, yes, DFD was a crooner.  He seldom sang full out and favored a
very relaxed, tenorish head voice.  Of course, people such as Dean Martin
and Frank Sinatra didn't have the full resonance and breath support present
in the very polished singing of Herr Dieskau.
