There is also a good recording with Rene Kollo with Kubelik conducting
(with Behrens, Meven, Donath, Moll, Brendel)

Just out of curiosity. When I got the post yesterday, I thought about
Schock (2), Hopf (2), Schreier and Holm and decided they weren't exactly
recommendable. There must be better Maxes. Does no one have a Max on CD
he or she likes? I know there are recordings with Araiza and Gedda. What
about them?

Regards, Roland Kayser
