The Washington Opera moves from their home at the Kennedy Center (now
undergoing renovation) to DAR Constitution Hall.  Constitution Hall has
been modified for opera performances; there's no traditional pit for the
orchestra, they will be behind the stage.

The Washington Post today offers a preview of the multimedia staging of
Verdi's work at:

I'll be there this Wednesday night watching with a great deal of
interest to see how this comes off.  They are promising not to use the
"amplification" system that has been installed.
