Other than her voice, Claycomb's not-so-secret
weapon is her cascades of Titian hair -- always
looks great on stage. Does anyone know if that's
her natural color?

Another stunningly beautiful singer (in the super
model sort of sense) is the 23 year old soprano
Danielle de Niese, who wore a gorgeous designer
gown covered in silky veils when she sang the
soprano solo in a Messiah with the SF Symphony.

Her glam-shots [here is one, by the way:
don't do her justice, she is a lot more
spontaneously beautiful in person. She also
exudes grace and star quality getting on and off
the stage (this is something younger soloists
seldom pay attention to, I have found).

Ms. De Niese could consider giving up her singing
career for potentially more lucrative pursuits in
the world of high-fashion modeling. Not that she
is a bad singer, her rendition of the sopranos arias
in the Messiah were a bit too theatrical at times,
but some moments, such as her heart surrendering
"Come unto Him, all ye that labor, and ye shall
find rest," were very moving and genuine -- could
have turned you into a Christian. Also, word has
it that she held her own convincingly at the Paris
Opera as Cleopatra, against seasoned stars like
David Daniels.

She is apparently too smart to find a career as a
model fulfilling, in any case. I'm told she speaks
six languages fluently.

Regards, Ching
