On the subject of Alfredo Kraus' technique and amazing vocal longevity,
here you have two examples of his legendary artistry (sorry about the
sound, but these are pirates) separated by 35 years:

First, Kraus sings at 32 I Puritani with a fearless top and unmatched vocal
line and legato... the mp3 is at:

Then, Kraus at 62, live at La Scala, bringing down the house in Linda de
Chamounix (this is actually the ENCORE) and ending with a hair-raising
