Werke von Igor Strawinsky mit dem NDR-Sinfonieorchester

Am 6. April vor dreißig Jahren starb mit Igor Strawinsky einer der
wichtigsten Komponisten des 20. Jahrhunderts. Seine aufregende Biographie
korrespondiert mit seiner kompromißlosen Kreativität, die vielen Stilen und
Kompositionstechniken gerecht wurde und bekanntlich auch Skandale nicht nur
nicht scheute, sondern zuweilen auch ansteuerte. Seit Beginn der 30er Jahre
legte der Komponist verstärkt Wert auf die Tonaufzeichnung seiner Werke,
auch in seiner eigenen Interpretation, für die er sich in
dirigiertechnischer Hinsicht seitdem zu perfektionieren begann. Mit
Einführung der Stereophonie begab er sich außerdem erneut in die Studios.
1965 gastierte Strawinsky beim NDR-Sinfonieorchester, mit dem er sein
Ballett "Apollon musagète" aufführte.
